Everest shifts toward reinsurance and specialty insurance as reserves remain central
The current analysis supports a business mix shift toward reinsurance and wholesale and specialty insurance, but the case depends on disciplined underwriting, adequate casualty reserves, and timely capital release. What changed
Everest’s current analysis centers on exiting global retail insurance, resolving legacy casualty exposure through reserve actions and an adverse development cover, and concentrating on reinsurance and wholesale and specialty insurance. Compared with the prior analysis, the strategic shift and reserve-resolution framework are more explicit, while capital-release timing remains a key open issue.

No explicit earnings guidance was provided; the prior analysis described guidance sentiment as maintained.
Key takeaways

Management priorities
- Execute the retail insurance exit and focus on core reinsurance and wholesale and specialty lines.
- Pursue organic growth and selective M&A while maintaining disciplined underwriting and risk selection.
- Continue monitoring casualty reserve adequacy and the timing of capital release.

Methodology
Reported and consensus figures come from FN2's earnings event records. Market reaction and volume are calculated from daily adjusted bars around the event; abnormal move subtracts the SPY move over the same window.
Analyst target low, average, and high values are derived at request time from each named analyst's latest persisted FMP target. The current-price marker comes from FN2's persisted market snapshot. They are sell-side estimates, not an FN2 valuation or recommendation.
Transcript intelligence is a structured synthesis of the current and prior earnings-call analyses. Missing values stay missing and are never estimated.
